Jaw Jackin’ Blues, produced by longtime Little Freddie King drummer Wacko Wade, captures’ a few tales about the rough and tumble world of wino hell and blues heaven which da King often visited, on his way home from a gig as a young man. Wacko decided to put the “spoken word” to music, and capture some of Freddie’s legendary true life stories. ‘We aim to give the younger generation music lovers a glimpse of the life of one of the last great country-blues players.’ Jaw Jackin’ Blues, captures an electric blues groove with a pulsating beat that brings the fantastically sleazy juke joint to life and makes you want to light up.
All songs written by Freddie Martin (aka) Little Freddie King, with collaboration with T.W. Wright, except 10 by Tino Gross.
“March 1986 – this is where it almost ended. Freddie’s wife Amy shot him with a .38 – 936 North Robertson, NOLA. Thankfully he lived to play music and tell stories – complete with lead still in his body. Feel it”.SCOTT M. BOCK, LIVING BLUES MAGAZINE.
